Begin with Chengdu's ancient civilization, giant pandas and relaxed street culture before travelling east into Chongqing's vertical, river-shaped urban landscape.
Arrive in Chengdu by flight or train. Your personal driver will meet you at the airport or railway station and provide a private transfer to your hotel in central Chengdu.
After check-in, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Relax after your journey, explore the surrounding neighborhood or begin your Sichuan experience with a local dinner at your own pace.

After breakfast, begin at the Jinsha Site Museum, where archaeological discoveries reveal the sophisticated material culture of ancient Shu.
Explore gold, jade and other excavated objects before moving into a completely different side of Chengdu at Taikoo Li and IFS.
Continue to Wuhou Shrine, closely associated with Zhuge Liang and the Three Kingdoms period.
Finish the day around Jinli, where traditional-inspired architecture, teahouses, shops and food stalls create a lively evening atmosphere.

After breakfast, visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding and spend time observing giant pandas in the landscaped conservation and breeding facility.
Continue to the Sichuan Cuisine Museum for an introduction to the ingredients, techniques and cultural traditions behind Sichuan food.
Depending on the confirmed museum program, culinary demonstrations or tasting experiences may form part of the visit.
Later, explore Kuanzhai Alley, a restored historic district of courtyards, teahouses, small shops and local eateries.

After breakfast, take the scheduled high-speed train from Chengdu to Chongqing.
Upon arrival, meet your Chongqing driver and begin exploring the city's unusual relationship with mountains, rivers and vertical transportation.
Experience the Yangtze River Cableway before visiting Danzishi Old Street on the riverside.
Continue with the planned Yangtze River ferry and then head toward Jiefangbei, one of central Chongqing's best-known urban landmarks.
Walk along the Shancheng Trail, where stairways and hillside neighborhoods reveal the city's distinctive terrain.
Finish after dark at Hongyadong, when the multi-level riverside complex becomes illuminated.

After breakfast, visit Ciqikou Ancient Town, where narrow streets, teahouses and local food preserve a different side of Chongqing's urban history.
Continue to the Zhazi Cave and Baigongguan memorial sites, former detention locations associated with Chongqing's turbulent political history in the 1940s.
Later, head to Liziba Station to see the monorail pass through the multi-level building, one of the clearest visual examples of Chongqing's unusual urban topography.
Finish at Eling Erchang, a former industrial site transformed into a creative district with studios, cafes and contemporary city views.

After breakfast, enjoy free time depending on your departure schedule.
At the arranged time, your personal driver will transfer you to Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport or your scheduled railway station.
