Leave central Chongqing behind and travel through the culturally diverse and highly scenic landscapes of southeastern Chongqing and the Wuling Mountains.

After breakfast, travel into southeastern Chongqing and visit Chiyou Jiuli City, a cultural attraction centered on Miao traditions, architecture and historical narratives.
Continue to the Wujiang River Gallery and experience the steep mountain scenery surrounding the river.
In the afternoon, continue to Zhuoshui Ancient Town.
Walk through the preserved streets and experience the town's distinctive covered-bridge landscape before settling in for the evening.

After breakfast, visit Puhua Underground River and travel by boat through the cave-and-river landscape.
Continue to Hewan Tujia Village, a traditional settlement beside the Youshui River, where timber stilt houses rise along the water and surrounding mountain slopes.
In the afternoon, continue to Chadong Border Town (Biancheng) near the meeting point of Hunan, Chongqing and Guizhou.
Experience the traditional Lala Ferry river crossing and explore the old town atmosphere associated with Shen Congwen's Border Town.
Overnight in the Border Town area.

After breakfast, continue through the mountainous borderlands of southeastern Chongqing.
Travel along the famous 45 Turns mountain road, where a succession of tight bends climbs toward the highland landscape of Chuanhegai.
Explore the plateau scenery before continuing toward Changpu Grassland in Youyang.
Enjoy the open highland environment, broad grassland views and a slower afternoon surrounded by mountain scenery.
Overnight in Youyang or nearby.

After breakfast, travel toward Wulong.
Begin at Fairy Mountain, where forest and open grassland create a softer highland landscape.
In the afternoon, continue to Three Natural Bridges, one of the major karst landscapes within Wulong.
Descend into the valley and walk beneath the enormous natural limestone bridges and surrounding cliffs, experiencing the scale of the landscape from below.
Overnight in Wulong.

After breakfast, travel from Wulong to Jinfo Mountain.
Ascend according to the scenic area's operating cable-car route and explore the mountain's forested karst landscape.
Discover high cliffs, mountain viewpoints and the distinctive elevated terrain that makes Jinfoshan different from the Wulong landscape visited the previous day.
In the afternoon, descend and return to Chongqing city.

After breakfast, enjoy free time depending on your departure schedule.
At the arranged time, your personal driver will transfer you to Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport or your scheduled railway station.
Your seven-day journey through hidden Chongqing and the Wuling Mountains comes to an end.
Three Natural Bridges: this attraction forms part of the Wulong Karst component of the UNESCO-listed South China Karst serial property.
Jinfo Mountain: Jinfoshan Karst is another component of the same South China Karst World Heritage property.
Mountain and cave experiences: boat routes, cable cars, shuttle services and walking routes may change according to weather, water conditions and local operating arrangements.
Day 4: this is a substantial overland sightseeing day, so the exact order and duration of the highland stops may be adjusted according to road conditions.
