Experience a different side of China through mountain villages, Taoist-inspired landscapes, dramatic granite scenery and the rural traditions of northeastern Jiangxi.
Day 1 · Shangrao → Gexian Village
Gexian Village & Lantern-Lit Night Tour
Meet your driver at Shangrao High-Speed Railway Station at approximately 14:00. Other arrival times can be arranged upon request.
Travel to Gexian Village and check in before enjoying some time to rest.
After dusk, explore the village as traditional-style architecture, waterways and lanterns create a completely different atmosphere from the daytime.
Carry a traditional lantern as you wander through the illuminated streets and enjoy the scheduled evening lantern displays.
Overnight near Gexian Village.
Lantern Night Experience Arrive in the afternoon so you can experience the transition from mountain village scenery to the illuminated nighttime atmosphere.
Day 2 · Gexian → Wangxian Valley
Taoist Mountain Morning & Wangxian Valley by Night
After breakfast, spend the morning experiencing the mountain surroundings associated with Gexian Mountain.
Guests who wish to participate may enjoy a quiet prayer or incense experience while taking in the peaceful mountain atmosphere.
Around midday, continue to Wangxian Valley.
Explore the canyon in daylight, walking among dramatic cliffs, waterfalls and hillside buildings.
Stay into the evening and watch the valley transform as architectural lighting illuminates the cliffs and buildings.
Overnight near Wangxian Valley.
See Wangxian Valley Twice Staying from afternoon into evening lets you experience both the natural canyon landscape and its dramatic illuminated night atmosphere.
Day 3 · Sanqingshan → Wuyuan
Mount Sanqingshan & Wunvzhou Waterways
After breakfast, travel to Mount Sanqingshan National Park.
Ascend by cable car and explore the mountain's extraordinary granite landscapes, forested peaks and elevated walking routes.
Depending on weather and operating conditions, enjoy views around key scenic areas before descending by cable car in the afternoon.
Continue to Wuyuan and visit Wunvzhou Resort, where Huizhou-inspired architecture and waterways create a contrasting cultural landscape after the mountain experience.
Enjoy the included one-way scenic rowboat ride through the resort waterways.
Overnight in Wuyuan or near Huangling.
One-Way Rowboat Included Slow the pace after Mount Sanqingshan with a scenic boat ride through Wunvzhou's waterways and bridges.
Day 4 · Huangling → Departure
Huangling Village, Sun-Drying Traditions & Photoshoot
After breakfast, visit Huangling Village, a mountainside settlement known for Huizhou-style architecture, terraced scenery and its distinctive shaiqiu sun-drying tradition.
Walk through the village and see colorful agricultural products displayed in bamboo trays on rooftops and balconies, with the scenery changing throughout the seasons.
A complimentary simple photoshoot is included to capture memories of your visit. Makeup, costume rental and styling are not included.
Depending on the season, you may also explore the surrounding flower and terraced landscapes.
After sightseeing, transfer to Wuyuan High-Speed Railway Station. We recommend arranging your departing train no earlier than approximately 15:30.
Your Jiangxi mountain and village journey comes to an end.
