From Kunming's everyday city life to the highlands of Shangri-La and the quiet waters of Lugu Lake, discover the remarkable diversity of Yunnan.
Day 1 · Kunming
Arrive in Kunming
Arrive at Kunming Changshui International Airport or Kunming Railway Station, where your personal driver will meet you and provide a private transfer to your hotel.
After check-in, enjoy free time to relax after your journey or explore the surrounding area at your own pace.
Overnight in Kunming.
Day 2 · Kunming → Dali
Local Kunming & Journey to Dali
After breakfast, experience a more local side of Kunming at Zhuanxin Market, filled with fresh produce, Yunnan ingredients and everyday city life.
Continue through Kunming Old Street and see the distinctive Wine Cup Building before departing for Dali.
Check into your hotel after arrival.
Overnight in Dali.
Day 3 · Dali
Three Pagodas, Bai Culture & Erhai Lake
Begin the day at the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple, one of Dali's most recognizable historic landmarks.
Continue to Xizhou Ancient Town for a Bai Three-Course Tea experience and an introduction to local ethnic traditions.
In the afternoon, head to the scenic S-Bay area beside Erhai Lake for relaxed cycling and an included travel photography experience.
Overnight in Dali.
Included Travel Photography Enjoy cycling beside Erhai Lake while capturing memorable images of your Dali journey.
Day 4 · Dali → Lijiang
Dali Ancient City & Black Dragon Pool
After breakfast, spend time exploring Dali Ancient City, with its historic streets, traditional architecture and relaxed mountain-town atmosphere.
Continue to Lijiang and visit Black Dragon Pool, known for its peaceful waters and classic views toward Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.
Overnight in Lijiang.
Day 5 · Lijiang
Jade Dragon Snow Mountain & Blue Moon Valley
Begin at Shuhe Ancient Town, a quieter historic settlement near Lijiang.
Continue toward Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, using the included one-way sightseeing train and mountain cable-car experience.
After descending, visit Blue Moon Valley, known for its striking turquoise water, before continuing to the open highland scenery of Ganhaizi.
Overnight in Lijiang.
Day 6 · Lijiang → Shangri-La
Tiger Leaping Gorge & Dukezong Ancient Town
After breakfast, travel toward Shangri-La and stop at Tiger Leaping Gorge, where towering mountains rise dramatically above the rushing river.
Continue into the Tibetan highlands and explore Dukezong Ancient Town, with its traditional streets and distinctive plateau atmosphere.
Overnight in the Shangri-La area.
Day 7 · Shangri-La
Sumtseling Monastery & Napahai Lake
Visit Ganden Sumtseling Monastery and experience the distinctive Tibetan Buddhist heritage of Shangri-La.
Continue through the highland scenery and prayer-flag landscapes before visiting Napahai Lake.
An included Tibetan costume experience offers another opportunity to connect with the visual culture of the region. Horseback riding is optional.
Continue toward Lijiang after sightseeing.
Overnight in Lijiang.
Included Costume Experience Enjoy a Tibetan-style costume experience against the open landscapes around Napahai.
Day 8 · Lijiang → Lugu Lake
Lugu Lake & Mosuo Evening Experience
Travel from Lijiang toward Lugu Lake, surrounded by mountains and peaceful highland scenery.
Stop at a panoramic observation point before continuing toward the lakeside.
In the evening, experience a Mosuo cultural dinner followed by a traditional-style bonfire gathering with local singing and dancing.
Overnight near Lugu Lake.
Day 9 · Lugu Lake → Kunming
Lake Cruise, Mosuo Village & Return to Kunming
Begin the day with a boat cruise on Lugu Lake, enjoying the calm water and surrounding mountain scenery.
Visit a local Mosuo village for a closer look at the distinctive culture and lifestyle associated with the lake.
Afterwards, return toward Lijiang and continue by high-speed train to Kunming.
Overnight in Kunming.
Day 10 · Departure
Departure from Kunming
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before your scheduled private transfer to Kunming Changshui International Airport or Kunming Railway Station.
Your ten-day journey through Yunnan comes to an end.
